Established by Harry Simmons Sr, circa 1905 in Union Street, Coventry, UK, to make patterns and molds necessary to the production of vehicle components for the growing automobile manufacturing industry. Simmons later incorporated a foundry to cast metal parts for Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Rover and other British car manufacturers.
1905In 1981 Simmons Mouldings was formed as a specialized solid epoxy resin casting business focusing on laboratory worktops. Leveraging their pattern making expertise and existing foundry, the new epoxy resin venture templated and cast molds used in producing epoxy resin parts.
Over the years Simmons has maintained their mold making heritage in-house although it is now accomplished with modern CNC milling machines.
1981In 2015, Simmons North America Inc. was formed with the vision of enhancing its presence in the North American market. Initially serving as a distributor of Simmons Mouldings' renowned products, its mission swiftly evolved into establishing a manufacturing presence in the region. This strategic move fortified Simmons’ commitment to delivering quality product on time and on budget.
2015In Q4 2023, Simmons moved to a larger facility in the Eastern USA, now operating under the new banner of Simmons Epoxy LLC. This strategic relocation not only underscores our commitment to expansion but also signifies a pivotal moment in our journey. We take immense pride in offering a fully Made in USA product, exemplifying our dedication to quality craftsmanship and domestic manufacturing.
